Belfast Bible College is offering a good choice of evening classes this quarter:
Love in the Old Testament: with Charlie Hadjiev
The course will focus on the interpretation of the text of Hosea and Song of Songs from a historical, literary and theological perspective. It will explore love from the perspective of both human relationships and the human–divine relationship.
Parlez-vous French for Mission? with Rachel Gilmore
If you’re thinking of a short–term mission trip to a French–speaking country, come to brush up on some basic phrases and vocabulary in a relaxed and engaging context. This course is specifically geared towards the specialised needs of mission to French speakers.
Christians and Social Justice: team-taught
Beginning with a look at God, Justice and us, this course goes on to cover the issues of poverty, slavery and local injustice, concluding with the question ‘What to do?’. An intensely practical course which may also be a bit uncomfortable. “You can choose to look the other way, but you can never again say that you did not know.”
The Cinderella of the Trinity: with Trish Jones
Historically, the Holy Spirit has been the most neglected person of the Trinity and only since the charismatic renewal in recent decades has there been a widespread increase of interest in this area. Beginning with an overview of the doctrinal development of the Holy Spirit throughout the history of the Church, this module will go on to look at the teaching on the fruit of the Spirit and the gifts of the Spirit.
All classes start next Tuesday (14 January). For more details, click here.
